Giorgio Armani
Founder Giorgio Armani was born in the suburbs of Milan in 1934. In 1957, after serving in the military, he worked as a window dresser for the popular department store “La Rinascente”. In 1961, he moved to Nino Cerruti as a designer. In 1974, he and his friend Sergio Galeotti jointly established a men’s clothing brand named Giorgio Armani. As soon as he debuted, Giorgio was highly regarded by fashion buyers and the media. Suit jackets are his signature piece, which was cut in Armani’s first men’s clothing series. They are beautifully cut, chic and easy to wear. In 1975, a women’s clothing line was added. It is worth mentioning that his sister Rosanna Armani is an Italian top model. The inspiration for the perfume bottle comes from Armani’s classic broad-shouldered men’s wear style. The simple bottle shape just reflects Armani’s design concept—“less is more”. Acqua Di Gio is specially designed to express the feeling of Mediterranean summer, with the scent of “water flower”, and it also won the FiFi Award in 1996.
