Hermès Perfume: The Olfactory Epic of Luxury Goods
Starting out as a horse harness brand in 1837, Hermès injected the genes of leather craftsmanship into the field of fragrance when it launched its first perfume “Eau d’Hermès” in 1951. The current perfumer Christine Nagel proposed the concept of “fragrance is an invisible scarf”. All raw materials come from the brand’s own garden, and each perfume needs to undergo an aging process of up to 18 months.
